Exo Terra Snake Bedding, available in a 4qt size, is an eco-friendly reptile substrate crafted from sustainable, untreated wood. This bedding is completely dust-free and remarkably soft, making it safe for hatchlings and delicate snake species. Its distinct wood fiber texture enables reptiles to create sturdy nesting burrows, mimicking their natural habitats.
This substrate undergoes heat treatment to minimize bacterial presence and enhance its absorbency, boasting an impressive absorption ratio of 3:1. It dries swiftly, which makes it ideal for snakes requiring moderate to low humidity levels in their enclosures.
Usage Guidelines:
Make sure the terrarium or tub is clean and dry before use. Lay down a uniform layer (at least 1 inch thick) across the base of the enclosure. Perform daily spot cleaning, and fully replace the bedding every 8 weeks or if it becomes dirty.
Note: Exo Terra advises removing reptiles from the bedding during feeding times for safety.
